In addition to in-office visits, Iowa ENT Center offers a “virtual visit” option. These telehealth visits are secure, private video chats with your regular Iowa ENT Center provider.

To schedule a telehealth visit, please call our office at 515-223-4368. One of our friendly schedulers will walk you through a quick, easy process, where they will:
- Ask you for your email address
- Explain how to download the Zoom app
- Schedule a date and time that’s convenient for you
We also suggest that you review these step-by-step instructions prior to your appointment.
These visits are easy, convenient and fast. If your Iowa ENT Center provider recommends a prescription during your virtual visit, it will be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy.
Please note that virtual visits aren’t appropriate for emergency situations. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
Usually covered by insurance
Virtual visits are typically covered by most insurance plans. Some insurance plans are also waiving out-of-pocket costs for virtual visits. As with all medical care, it’s a good idea to confirm coverage with your insurance company before you schedule an appointment.
Preparing for your virtual visit
Once your appointment is made, you’ll receive an email prompting you to download the ZOOM app. It’s a good idea to download the app right away so you can familiarize yourself with it.
The day of your appointment
The day of your appointment, please be ready with your phone, tablet or computer at least 15 minutes ahead of time. You don’t need to have the Zoom app open prior to the appointment time—it will open automatically.
When your appointment time comes, your Iowa ENT Center provider will start the call on his/her end. At that moment, you’ll receive a text with a link. Tap on the link to connect automatically.
The process is quick and easy. That said, if there is any technical difficulty, your provider will arrange to talk with you by phone.
